MoNkEy!

We went to LJS for lunch after church. Nana was holding you as you passed by a little girl with a stuffed animal. You yelled out, 'Monkey'. Nana thought it was a different animal but as she got a closer look she discovered that it was in fact a monkey. Later the little girl and her mommy came to our table to give you the monkey. We were all so blown away by her kindness. The mom explained that they were teaching her how to be generous to others. The same incident had happened to her when she was a baby and she hasn't forgotten that incident since, so she wanted to pay it forward. We can't wait to teach you the same lesson one day!

You KNOW your Nana!

Last Sunday, Nana met us up at church. She had a new hairdo and sunglasses so none of us recognized her as we walked by. All of a sudden, you shouted out "NaNa!" I turned around and sure enough it was her! We were all surprised and touched at how you were the only one to notice her. It's no wonder you have a special place in her heart

Bow Bow

I was talking to daddy on the phone while I was driving to work. You had just eaten breakfast and gestured to daddy that you wanted to talk to me. He handed you the phone and I asked if you were "bow bow" which means full in chinese. You rubbed your tummy and said yes. You understood what I was asking. You're so smart!!

BoPPy!

You call your favorite blanket, "boppy". We're not sure how you came up with that name because we've never called it that. Nonetheless, it goes everywhere with you especially when it's time for bed. You love to stuff it in your mouth and off to the sand man you go...

NoOdLeS!

After church Mommy asked Daddy and Papa what they wanted to eat for lunch. They both replied, "Anything sounds good, maybe some place nearby?" Then jokingly I asked you (18months old), "Ava, what would YOU like to eat for lunch?" To our surprise you answered quickly, "NOODLES!" Haha, you made us all laugh. Daddy replied, "Pho Saigon it is!"

I Can!

The other day you were reaching for something sharp and MiMi said in Chinese, "You can't!" (M-thuck) and you responded in Chinese, "I Can!" (Thuck). It was hilarious. You crack us up!! (14 months old)

A Beautiful Heart

We went to visit Tai Poh today at the Villa Assisted Care. You warmed all of the old ladies hearts! You walked around saying "Hi" and blowing kisses. You really made their day. On the drive home, I thought to myself..."the nurses were right when they took the ultrasound and said you had a beautiful heart!" I pray that you stay as sweet as can be and uplift others spirits.
